 Doritos Crash the Superbowl Contest

Doritos possibly one of the best tasting chips on the market has put together yet again, a contest to see who could make the best Doritos’ commercial to air during the Super Bowl. A small group of 20 something’s from Cary North Carolina has beaten out more than 4,000 contenders and has two commercials among six competing to air during the Super Bowl next month. That means if a group of nobodies ever had a chance to win the lottery ever in their lives this is it! They only need one thing to help them win…your vote. Please click the above links and register to vote and help an average Joe win big.

If these 20 something’s win the prize, the contenders plan to share it with the venture capitalists behind the project: That would be the two buddies who lent them a few hundred bucks to finance the filming. Frito-Lay has paid the six finalists $25,000 per video for getting this far. The top three winners in an online vote this month will be aired during the Super Bowl. Each person may vote once a day. The big payoff comes from another vote, the USA Today "ad meter" after the game ends. First prize: $1 million. Second prize: $600,000. Third prize: $400,000. If the "ad meter" votes place the homemade spots in the top three, then each winner gets an additional $1 million.

Barret Phillips

Phillips is the videographer / art director of these two ads and works for 5 Point Productions. He is a super nice guy and his eye of a mind makes a movie in a very humble fashion. Phillips is a very patient director and has the precision of a Dewalt skilsaw when it comes to editing film. For all you ladies out there, Barret enjoys long walks on the beach, directing art, making music, and chewing bubble gum.

 Brian Oliver

Oliver is a part time actor and free lance video editor from Cary NC. In the 30-second spot, "Underdog," Oliver tries to take advantage of the adorable dog Rosie's simple nature. To Oliver's surprise he finds himself outsmarted by Rosie who not only gets the last laugh but also the bag of Doritos. Oliver plays the part of an obnoxious villain so well that if this ad wins he will be type cast for life!

 Josh Svoboda

The other ad, "Kids These Days," portrays Josh Svoboda as a young punk who is too cool for school until he gets ZAPPED by a taser for cutting in line to get the last bag of Doritos. Svoboda 24 (and very sexy), is the creative director at 5 Point Productions, a four employee Raleigh ad agency which produced both Doritos commercials. Svoboda is also a nice guy who will not finish last, as most tend to and do, if either of the ads makes top three! Please vote on behalf of all the nice guys out there.

 Rosie

Ruff ruff ruff... Rosie is the dog of the devastatingly hot sister of one of Five Point Productions employees. This hot sister was more than happy to let Rosie get her stardom in the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl ad. Rosie was the perfect dog for the commercial due to her uncanny ability to follow the "exact" instructions of director Barret Phillips…LULZ… in addition to her adorable good looks and sweet nature. If all goes well Rosie will be paid in bacon strips for life! If you Love dogs then please vote for Rosie or should I say… (drumroll please) the "Underdog" ad.
